Starter kit

The new school year marks the start of new learning experiences. Desjardins is there to help you help your child build financial literacy through the School Caisse.

Offered in collaboration with elementary schools, School Caisse is a savings training program that aims to help young people become independent, responsible and skilled at managing their money.

What is the School Caisse?

Learn more about School Caisse

How does it work?

  1. Your child must first open their own account (see the Enrol my Child button at the bottom of the page.)
  2. They’ll receive their folio number in the mail.
  3. On deposit days, place the money to be deposited in the School Caisse envelope, fill out the deposit slip with your child and have them sign it.
  4. Detach the deposit slip and place it inside the envelope.
  5. Give the envelope to your child so they can bring it to school.

How can I find out when deposit days are?

  1. Deposit dates are available at all times in the My School Caisse section.
  2. You can also sign up for email reminders of upcoming deposit dates in the same section.
