Financial literacy games for the whole family

May082026

Holidays, March break, snow days, rainy Sunday afternoons—there are lots of perfect opportunities to play board games as a family. And it just so happens that the School Caisse has a whole bunch of games specially designed for kids in elementary school. The School Caisse is all about financial education. And board games are all about fun. Sounds like a perfect combination!

Let’s play!

Games for kids of all ages

Whether you’re 6, 36 or 66, you’ll have a blast with these games.

We’ve got games for younger and older kids alike. But there’s nothing to prevent little ones from teaming up with someone who has more experience with complex calculations. When you play as a team, even more people get to have fun and practise cooperating!

It’s not just fun and games

Our games help kids practise subjects like English and math, and they deal with concepts related to financial literacy. A full list of the concepts covered is available in the School Caisse program.

To make a long story short, the School Caisse aims to:*

  • Encourage young people to develop their financial literacy so they can adopt habits that will serve them well throughout their lives.
  • Educate young people about entrepreneurship, cooperation and responsible consumption.
  • Support parents and community and school collaborators, including teachers, by providing tools and resources to help young people learn.

Where to find the School Caisse’s board games

Our games are available on the School Caisse website, all ready to print and cut out. (Now there’s a good idea for a fun craft project!) You can even laminate them so your kids can play over and over again.

Playing your way to financial literacy

Without further ado, here they are—fun games that give kids an opportunity to handle Canadian coins and bills, save money, make informed decisions, and more. That’s what we call a win-win. Let the games (and the learning) begin!
